  Reports To: Packaging Supervisor / Production Manager

  Role Summary

  • The Food Packaging Staff is responsible for proper packaging, labeling, portioning, and presentation of meals produced at the Firewood Jollof Central Kitchen.
  • The role ensures that all meals leaving the kitchen meet the company’s quality, hygiene, speed, and presentation standards before delivery to customers, corporates, outlets, and events.

  Core Responsibilities

  • Package meals according to approved Firewood Jollof packaging standards.
  • Ensure correct portion sizes are maintained consistently.
  • Ensure meals are sealed, labeled, and arranged properly before dispatch.
  • Check food appearance and packaging quality before handover.
  • Assist in preparing bulk orders, corporate orders, and event packaging.
  • Ensure packaging materials are available and organized before production starts.
  • Report damaged packaging materials or shortages immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of packaging stations and surrounding areas.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety standards strictly at all times.
  • Support smooth coordination between production, logistics, and dispatch teams.
  • Ensure speed and accuracy during high volume production periods.
  • Avoid wastage of packaging materials and food items.
  • Resume work on time and maintain readiness before operations begin.
  • Work closely with QA and Supervisors during inspections and checks.
  • Protect the Firewood Jollof brand through excellent presentation and packaging standards.

  Requirements

  • Previous food packaging or kitchen experience is an advantage.
  • SSCE, OND or NCE
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Must be disciplined, hardworking, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and work under pressure.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays when required.
