    Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

    Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Job Summary

    • The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for developing and executing the company's overall marketing and commercial growth strategy to strengthen brand positioning, increase market share, and drive revenue growth across wholesale, bulk retail, and distribution channels.
    • The role oversees brand management, trade marketing, customer acquisition, digital marketing, strategic partnerships, and market intelligence while ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.

    Key Responsibilities
    Marketing Strategy & Business Growth:

    • Develop and implement the company's overall marketing and brand strategy aligned with business goals.
    • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across wholesale and bulk retail channels.
    • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels.
    • Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance targets.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership on commercial growth initiatives.

    Brand Management:

    • Strengthen the company's brand presence across all customer touchpoints.
    • Ensure consistency in brand identity, messaging, and customer experience.
    • Oversee the development of marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness and market penetration.
    • Manage product positioning and brand differentiation.

    Trade Marketing & Channel Development:

    • Develop trade marketing strategies to increase sales through distributors, dealers, wholesalers, and institutional customers.
    • Support the sales team with promotional activities and marketing materials.
    • Build strategic relationships with key distributors and commercial partners.
    • Monitor channel performance and recommend improvements.

    Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement:

    • Oversee digital marketing strategies including social media, website, email marketing, and online advertising.
    • Utilize customer insights and analytics to improve marketing effectiveness.
    • Develop customer loyalty and engagement initiatives.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and brand perception.

    Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:

    • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
    • Provide market intelligence to support product development and pricing strategies.
    • Recommend new products or service offerings based on customer demand.

    Leadership & Team Management:

    • Lead and develop the marketing, communications, and brand management teams.
    • Establish KPIs and monitor team performance.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability.

    Budget & Performance Management:

    • Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget.
    • Monitor marketing ROI and optimize campaign performance.
    • Present periodic marketing reports to executive management and the Board.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
    • Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) is highly preferred.
    • Professional certifications such as CIM, NIMN, or equivalent are an advantage.

    Experience:

    • Must have 8–12 years of progressive marketing experience.
    • At least 4-5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Strong experience within wholesale, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
    • Proven track record of driving business growth and managing high-performi.
