  Job Description

  • The Area Sales Manager at Olam Agri is responsible for driving sales performance within the assigned region or territory to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • The role focuses on executing sales strategies, managing distributors, overseeing field execution, and expanding market presence in line with Olam Agri s business objectives.
  • Working closely with Regional Sales Heads, supply chain, and internal teams, the Sales Manager ensures strong market execution, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth across the assigned geography

  Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute regional or territory sales strategies in line with Olam Agri s sales objectives and business plans.
  • Drive achievement of sales, revenue, volume, and distribution targets through effective field execution.
  • Manage and develop distributor networks and key customer relationships to ensure market coverage and growth.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasts, and budgets, and take corrective actions where required.
  • Track market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities and share insights with management.
  • Lead, motivate, and guide sales executives and field teams to improve productivity and execution quality.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Sales or Marketing is an added advantage.

  Experience:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in sales and distribution roles.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong experience in FMCG, agri business, food, commodities, or related industries.
  • Hands on experience managing distributors and field sales teams.
