  Job Summary

  We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care, assess and manage patients, ensure accurate documentation, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
  • Request, interpret, and utilize laboratory and diagnostic investigations appropriately.
  • Provide emergency and urgent medical care when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with professional standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with nurses, laboratory scientists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education, and quality improvement activities.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and infection prevention and control guidelines.

  Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Completion of the mandatory NYSC programme (where applicable).
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of post-qualification clinical experience is an added advantage.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good knowledge of electronic medical records is an added advantage.
