  Our client, a leading FMCG company, seeks to hire a Fixed Asset & General Ledger Accountant to manage fixed asset accounting, general ledger activities, and accounts payable processes. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining accounting records in compliance with IFRS, supporting timely vendor payments, and ensuring the integrity of financial data within the SAP system.

  Key Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years\' experience preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, general accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets modules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Good communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Maintain the general ledger by processing journal entries, monthly accruals, and account adjustments.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of general ledger accounts, supplier accounts, GR/IR accounts, and year-end account balances.
  • Process vendor invoices (MIRO), monitor invoice aging, and prepare payment schedules for local vendors.
  • Prepare bank transfer files, payment advice, and process vendor and staff reimbursement payments.
  • Recognize and reconcile goods-in-transit transactions on a monthly basis.
  • Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring SAP closing and financial reporting are completed within the Group reporting timetable.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and financial records to support reliable financial reporting.
  • Recognize and reconcile goods-in-transit transactions on a monthly basis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation, contributing to a clean audit opinion.
  • Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities in line with reporting timelines.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and reconciliations within established deadlines and support the timely completion of the Annual Financial Report.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, statutory requirements, and company accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate financial records and documentation, contributing to a clean audit opinion.
