    Sales Manager – Commercial & Industrial Energy Solutions

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven, and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive the growth of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy solutions.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing large-scale business opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and driving sales of hybrid solar systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and integrated commercial and industrial energy storage solutions.

    This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with proven experience in C&I energy storage, solar, large-project sales, and energy solutions, as well as a strong existing network within the industrial and commercial sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development

    • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across the commercial and industrial energy market.
    • Develop sales opportunities within: Factories and manufacturing companies, Hotels, Hospitals, Shopping malls and commercial facilities, Data centres, Telecommunications companies, Oil & gas companies, Mining companies, EPC companies, Solar companies, Electrical contractors, Industrial parks
    • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline of qualified C&I projects.
    • Research market trends, customer energy needs, and emerging opportunities within the renewable energy and energy storage sector.
    • Generate leads through existing networks, referrals, industry contacts, strategic partnerships, and direct business development.

    Sales & Revenue Growth

    • Promote and sell commercial and industrial energy solutions, including: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), All-in-one energy storage cabinets, Hybrid solar systems, Solar power systems, Integrated solar + energy storage solutions
    • Develop customized energy solutions based on clients' power requirements and business needs.
    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and commercial offers.
    • Lead negotiations and drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure.
    • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional energy solutions.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key commercial and industrial clients.
    • Develop relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, technical teams, facility managers, business owners, and senior management.
    • Understand clients' energy challenges and position appropriate solutions to address their needs.
    • Maintain regular follow-up with prospects and existing customers throughout the sales cycle.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and support long-term account growth.

    Large Project Sales

    • Identify and manage large-scale solar and energy storage opportunities.
    • Manage the sales cycle for Solar + ESS projects from initial engagement through negotiation and closing.
    • Work closely with technical, engineering, EPC, and project teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
    • Understand project requirements, specifications, commercial terms, and customer expectations.
    • Support the preparation of proposals and technical-commercial presentations for large projects.
    • Track project opportunities, expected revenue, timelines, and probability of closure.

    Sales Management & Reporting

    • Develop and execute sales strategies for the C&I energy market.
    • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
    • Monitor market developments, competitor activities, pricing, and customer trends.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
    • Track individual opportunities from lead generation through closure.
    • Continuously identify ways to improve sales conversion and revenue performance.

    Preferred Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree/HND in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy storage sales.
    • Demonstrated experience selling solar systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems, or related energy solutions.
    • Proven experience managing and closing large-scale projects.
    • Experience with Solar + ESS projects is highly preferred.
    • Experience working with or selling solutions involving major energy technology brands such as Huawei, BYD, Deye, SAJ, Sungrow, or similar industry-leading brands is an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of the commercial and industrial energy market.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating significant revenue.
    • Strong existing client relationships and business network within the C&I, industrial, energy, oil & gas, telecoms, manufacturing, EPC, or related sectors.
