    Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • We are seeking experienced, proactive, and target-driven Sales Executives to join our team across Lagos, Port Harcourt, Sango-Ota, and Abuja.
    • The successful candidates will be responsible for acquiring new clients, growing the company's customer base, generating revenue, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and repeat business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients to grow the company's customer base and revenue.
    • Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing clients to encourage customer retention and repeat business.
    • Regularly follow up with existing clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional business.
    • Meet and consistently exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and emerging business opportunities.
    • Make sales calls, attend client meetings, and conduct business presentations.
    • Prepare quotations and proposals and follow up to convert prospects into clients.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of prospective and existing clients.
    • Work closely with the Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
    • Address client concerns and escalate operational issues appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Monitor competitors and provide market intelligence and feedback to management.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, new clients acquired, revenue generated, and existing client retention.
    • Represent DGL professionally during client meetings and business engagements.

    Key Performance Expectations
    The successful candidate will be expected to:

    • Bring in new clients and generate new business.
    • Retain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
    • Increase revenue from both new and existing accounts.
    • Consistently achieve assigned monthly sales targets.
    • Build a strong and sustainable client portfolio for DGL.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant sales experience.
    • Previous experience as a Sales Executive in a logistics, courier, freight, or transportation company is required.
    • Proven ability to generate and acquire new clients and meet sales targets.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
    • Strong knowledge of the logistics/courier market and business environment.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-management skills.
    • Strong business development and customer acquisition abilities.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, confident, and results-oriented.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively under sales targets.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management tools is an added advantage.
