  Job Purpose

  The Head, Marketing & Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic partnerships for the logistics and warehousing business. The role develops and executes marketing and business development strategies to increase market share, enhance brand visibility, and maximize profitability across transportation, warehousing, distribution, cold chain, and value-added logistics services.

  Key Responsibilities

  Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within logistics, warehousing, transportation, e-commerce fulfillment, cold chain, and supply chain solutions.
  • Lead customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, importers, exporters, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and tenders for prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and commercial terms with customers.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify emerging market opportunities.

  Marketing & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing and communication strategies.
  • Strengthen corporate brand positioning within the logistics and warehousing industry.
  • Manage digital marketing, social media, website content, and promotional campaigns.
  • Coordinate corporate events, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry networking activities.
  • Develop marketing materials, brochures, presentations, and customer engagement tools.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Lead customer engagement and account management activities.
  • Address major customer concerns and coordinate resolution with operations teams.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews with strategic customers.

  Strategic Planning

  • Develop annual business development and marketing plans.
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to executive management.
  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for service diversification and market expansion.

  Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing and Business Development team.
  • Set performance targets and KPIs for team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

  Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare monthly business development and marketing performance reports.
  • Track sales pipeline, conversion rates, revenue growth, and customer acquisition metrics.
  • Monitor marketing ROI and campaign effectiveness.
  • Present business performance updates to executive management.

  Required Qualifications & Experience

  Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing or related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business Administration or in a relevant field; master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding sales targets and leading high performing teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and build strong business relationships.
