    Sales Manager (Gas Generator)

    About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager with proven experience in the power generation industry, particularly in the sales of gas generators and related power solutions.

    • This is not a general sales management position. The successful candidate must understand the generator market, be comfortable discussing technical power requirements with customers, and have a proven ability to develop and close B2B opportunities involving gas generator systems.
    • The role will focus on growing the Company's gas generator business, developing key accounts, identifying new projects, and converting opportunities across industrial and commercial sectors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute sales strategies for gas generator systems and related power solutions.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within manufacturing, industrial, commercial, construction, telecoms, real estate, and other relevant sectors.
    • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and client engagement to technical discussions, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
    • Understand customer power requirements and work with the technical team to recommend suitable generator solutions.
    • Prepare and present commercial and technical proposals to clients.
    • Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, quotations, negotiations, and conversion rates.
    • Lead negotiations and work towards achieving agreed revenue and gross margin targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and pricing within the generator and power solutions market.
    • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and after-sales teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop key accounts and identify opportunities for repeat business, maintenance, upgrades, and additional power solutions.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree/HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience within the power generation, generator, or energy solutions industry.
    • Candidates must have direct experience selling diesel and/or gas generators or related power generation systems.
    • Strong understanding of gas generator applications, generator sizing, technical specifications, and customer power requirements.
    • Demonstrable experience managing B2B sales and closing high-value generator or power solution deals.
    • Existing relationships with industrial, commercial, manufacturing, construction, telecoms, or other major power-consuming clients will be a strong advantage.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, business development, and relationship management skills.
    • Ability to work with technical teams and translate customer requirements into commercially viable solutions.
    • Proven ability to work with sales targets and manage a pipeline from lead generation to conversion.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Already understands how the generator and power solutions market works.
    • Has sold gas or diesel generator systems before.
    • Can speak confidently with facility managers, engineers, procurement teams, business owners, contractors, and senior decision-makers.
    • Understands that selling a generator is not simply about price, but about load requirements, application, reliability, fuel efficiency, lifecycle cost, and after-sales support.
    • Has an existing network or demonstrated ability to build relationships within the industrial power market.
    • Is commercially driven, target-oriented, and capable of independently developing business opportunities.

    This position is best suited to candidates who have already worked in generator sales, power generation, energy solutions, or a closely related industrial power environment.
