  Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships across the Oil & Gas, Construction, and Security Services industries.
  • The role requires a commercially driven professional with a proven ability to secure contracts through competitive bidding, negotiations, and relationship management while ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.

  Key Responsibilities
  Business Development & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Construction, and Security Services sectors.
  • Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key clients.

  Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with government agencies, multinational companies, EPC contractors, indigenous firms, and private organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients.
  • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and business meetings.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

  Tendering & Proposal Management:

  • Identify relevant Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Lead bid strategy meetings and ensure timely submission of tenders.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Legal, HSE, and Technical teams during bid preparation.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients while protecting company interests.

  Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across all business units.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

  Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and business forums.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations.
  • Establish strategic alliances with partners and subcontractors.

  Contract Management:

  • Participate in contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
  • Monitor contract execution to ensure compliance with agreed deliverables.
  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

  Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor industry developments, competitor activities, pricing trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare market analysis reports and business forecasts.
  • Recommend new markets, services, and business expansion opportunities.

  Reporting:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business development reports.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM software.

  Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc in relevant discipline with 7 - 10 years working experience.
