  About the Role

  • BERL is seeking a commercially driven Sales/Procurement Engineer to support business growth through technical sales, sourcing, procurement, and client relationship management.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, preparing proposals and bids, sourcing technical products and services, and ensuring the successful delivery of client requirements.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, and Industrial sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Source technical equipment, materials, and services from local and international suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate procurement activities from requisition to delivery.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets.
  • Recommend suitable products and solutions based on client requirements.
  • Liaise with engineering, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Monitor order fulfilment, shipping activities, and delivery timelines.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in Technical Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering Support, or Business Development.
  • Experience within an EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or Industrial Services environment is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in international sourcing, procurement, tendering, and bid management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, shipping documentation, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to analyse technical datasheets and specifications.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant ERP/Procurement systems.
