  Role Overview

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Warehouse Accountant to support the Warehouse Accountant in managing inventory accounting, warehouse financial controls, and stock reconciliation activities.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, processing warehouse-related financial transactions, and maintaining proper documentation to support efficient warehouse operations and compliance with company policies.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Accountant in maintaining accurate inventory and financial records.
  • Record and reconcile daily warehouse transactions, including stock receipts, transfers, issues, and returns.
  • Verify warehouse documents such as Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Stock Transfer Notes (STNs), delivery notes, and issue vouchers.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
  • Assist in preparing inventory valuation and warehouse accounting reports.
  • Monitor inventory movements and investigate stock variances or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all warehouse transactions are accurately captured in the ERP/accounting system.
  • Assist in processing inventory adjustments with appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Support periodic stock counts and annual inventory audits.
  • Maintain organized filing of warehouse financial and inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and inventory management procedures.
  • Liaise with the warehouse, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to resolve inventory and accounting issues.
  • Assist in monitoring slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory and prepare reports for management.
  • Perform other accounting and warehouse-related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Accountant or Finance Manager.

  Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, inventory control, warehouse accounting, or finance.
  • Experience with ERP systems or inventory management software is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
  • Females are strongly advised to apply.
