    Job Summary (Purpose of the Role)

    • Drives the growth of the bank by recruiting new customers, mobilising deposits and originating quality MSME and asset finance loans — then monitoring those loans daily to keep repayment on track.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Attend the morning sales huddle; review personal targets, yesterday's numbers and today's call plan.
    • Prospect for new customers in assigned markets/clusters: open accounts, sell savings/thrift/fixed deposit products.
    • Originate loan applications: interview applicants at their shop/business, assess stock, cash flow and character, verify guarantors, and complete documentation.
    • Present loan proposals at the credit committee with honest appraisal findings.
    • Disburse-day duties: ensure customer understands terms, repayment schedule and consequences of default.
    • Monitor the personal loan portfolio daily: visit/call customers with instalments due today or in arrears; escalate hard cases to recovery.
    • Cross-sell asset finance (equipment, tricycle, vehicle) to qualified customers.
    • Post field collections through approved channels same day — no cash held overnight.
    • Submit daily activity report: visits made, accounts opened, deposits mobilised, loans booked, recoveries made.

    Educational Qualification

    • B.Sc/HND/OND in Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics or any discipline with strong sales aptitude.
    • Professional Certification: None mandatory; credit analysis or sales training an advantage; CIBN MCP for career progression.
    • Experience Required: 1-3 years in field sales, loan marketing or deposit mobilisation, preferably in an MFB, finance house or FMCG sales. Knowledge of Onitsha markets (Main Market, Ochanja, Bridgehead, Nkpor, GRA axis) is a strong advantage. Must be willing to work primarily in the field.
    • Technical / Job Skills: Loan origination and documentation; basic credit appraisal (cash-flow analysis of traders/MSMEs, 5Cs of credit); deposit product knowledge; loan monitoring and recovery techniques; mobile banking app usage for field posting; simple record keeping and reporting; riding/driving ability an advantage for field mobility.

    Soft Skills & Attributes:

    • Aggressive but ethical sales drive; persuasion and negotiation; resilience and target orientation; relationship building with traders; honesty in handling customer funds and documents; fluency in Igbo and English.
