    Business Development Manager

    We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and develop importer clients with cross-border payment needs. This is a high-value B2B sales role focused on acquiring and managing clients with annual international transaction volumes of RMB 5 million or more.

    The successful candidate will build long-term relationships with businesses involved in international trade, understand their funding and payment requirements, and provide tailored cross-border payment solutions. This is a relationship-driven business development role and not a retail or door-to-door sales position.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, prospect, and develop importer clients with cross-border payment requirements, primarily involving imports from China, the UAE, India, Turkey, Europe, and other international markets.
    • Target businesses with an annual international transaction volume of at least RMB 5 million.
    • Present and promote the Company's one-stop local payment and foreign exchange solutions, including NGN to USD and NGN to RMB transactions.
    • Guide clients through the onboarding process, including opening and effectively using the Company's local payment accounts.
    • Conduct regular market visits, client meetings, and networking engagements with relevant industry stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with customs clearing agents, freight forwarders, logistics companies, trade associations, and other business partners.
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent service and proactively identifying new business opportunities.
    • Gather and report market intelligence, competitor activities, and client feedback to support business growth and product development.

    Target Client Profile

    The ideal client base includes Nigerian importers engaged in international trade across industries such as, but not limited to:

    • FMCG
    • Electronics
    • Automotive Parts
    • Building Materials
    • Textiles
    • Machinery and Industrial Equipment

    These businesses should have ongoing international payment and foreign exchange requirements.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development or B2B Sales.
    • Experience in banking, fintech, international trade, foreign exchange, or cross-border payment services will be a strong advantage.
    • Demonstrated success in generating new business and managing key client relationships.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
    • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
    • Ownership of a personal vehicle is an added advantage.
