    Sales Manager

    Full-Time · Reports to the CEO and Co-Founder

    About the Role

    Gbovo is seeking a visionary and results-driven Sales Director with a minimum of 9-12 years of progressive Sales experience, with the last 5 years spent in leadership ; experience in the lending industry. This senior executive will serve as the primary architect of our revenue growth strategy, leading high-performing sales teams, cultivating key institutional relationships, and positioning the organization as a market leader across lending verticals.

    This is a strategic role. The Sales Director will operate at the intersection of market intelligence, executive leadership, and revenue execution ,responsible for identifying opportunities, building scalable sales systems, and driving sustainable growth across the full lending portfolio.

    Gbovo is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians through its Auto Loan, Insurance, and Investment programs. The company simplifies car ownership with flexible auto loans that allow customers to drive now and pay later. Gbovo also offers reliable insurance solutions for protection and a secure, asset-backed investment program with consistent returns. Gbovo empowers Nigerians to own vehicles and make sound financial choices, offering support at every step of the journey.

    What You'll Own

    • Growing monthly financed asset volume and the loan book
    • Launching and commercializing the marketplace platform, including vendor onboarding
    • Building the sales and marketing department from the ground up
    • Structuring bank and funding partnerships to reduce financing friction
    • Elevating the customer experience across the financing journey
    • Driving expansion into Rivers State and future African markets
    • Embedding risk, governance, and commercial controls into a fast-growing portfolio

    Additional details of this role will be discussed extensively with you, following which the relevant objectives and key results will be drafted. The company reserves the right to alter, amend, and/or reassign these duties at little or no notice.

    Key Deliverables — Sales Lead

    Revenue & Asset Financing Growth

    Primary Deliverables

    • Grow monthly financed assets from 10 cars to 100 cars per month
    • Drive financing adoption across vehicles, school buses, ambulances, delivery fleets, and homes and recoverable assets
    • Build scalable sales channels for asset financing products

    Marketplace Commercialization & Launch

    Primary Deliverables

    • Successfully launch and commercialize the company's marketplace platform
    • Drive vendor onboarding for vehicle listings
    • Develop financing-led marketplace acquisition strategy
    • Position the marketplace as a leading financing-enabled asset platform

    Sales & Marketing Department Build-Out

    Primary Deliverables

    • Build and structure the sales and marketing function
    • Recruit and manage aligned sales personnel
    • Create sales processes, reporting systems, and performance management structure
    • Develop hybrid online/offline acquisition channels

    Strategic Bank & Funding Partnerships

    Primary Deliverables

    • Develop partnerships with banks and finance institutions
    • Negotiate favorable lending structures
    • Reduce financing friction for customers
    • Improve funding accessibility for marketplace users

    Customer Experience Transformation

    Primary Deliverables

    • Establish customer experience standards and SOPs
    • Build customer feedback and escalation systems
    • Improve customer journey across all touchpoints
    • Reduce friction in onboarding and financing processes
    • Market Expansion & Business Development

    Primary Deliverables

    • Drive expansion strategy beyond Lagos into Rivers State
    • Develop market penetration strategies for future African expansion
    • Identify new commercial opportunities and sectors
    • Corporate Governance, Risk & Commercial Controls

    • Support development of risk assessment frameworks
    • Align commercial operations with regulatory expectations
    • Build structured reporting and accountability systems

    • Participate in long-term organizational structuring
