  Job Summary
  
  We are seeking a vigilant Security Guard responsible for safeguarding company property, personnel, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring assigned areas. The Security Guard will be tasked with conducting security checks, reporting suspicious activities, and assisting in emergency situations to ensure a safe environment across company facilities.

  Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned locations to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents, reporting findings to supervisors.
  • Assist in enforcing compliance with safety and security policies.
  • Write clear and concise reports on daily activities and irregularities.
  • Support crowd control, access control, and emergency evacuation procedures as needed.
  • Provide assistance and directions to employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Maintain surveillance of premises using CCTV and other monitoring devices.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Sectional Heads.

  Requirements

  Education and Work Experience

  • Secondary School Certificate.
  • Retired from any of the Nigeria Army Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force or Police).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a security guard, preferably in an industrial or large-scale facility setting.

  Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of security and safety procedures.
  • Good observational and reporting skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Effective communication skills.
