  Role Summary

  • We are seeking a proactive and organised Human Resources Officerto support the company’s recruitment, employee administration, performance management, policies, employee relations and general HR operations.
  • The ideal candidate should be able to support a growing real estate organisation by ensuring employees are properly recruited, onboarded, managed and supported while maintaining accurate HR records and promoting a professional workplace culture.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Manage or support recruitment for sales, marketing, administrative, property, operations and other roles.
  • Prepare job descriptions and coordinate job advertisements.
  • Screen applications, schedule interviews and support candidate selection.
  • Prepare offer letters, employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR records.
  • Monitor probation periods and coordinate employee confirmation processes.
  • Support implementation and review of HR policies, SOPs and employee handbook provisions.
  • Coordinate attendance, leave and employee documentation.
  • Support performance-management processes, including KPI setting and performance reviews.
  • Assist managers in addressing employee underperformance.
  • Coordinate Performance Improvement Plans where required.
  • Handle employee enquiries, grievances and workplace concerns professionally.
  • Support disciplinary processes and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition and retention activities.
  • Support training and employee-development initiatives.
  • Assist with payroll inputs, employee benefits and HMO administration where applicable.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support employee exit, clearance and exit-interview processes.
  • Ensure HR processes comply with applicable Nigerian labour requirements.
  • Prepare periodic HR reports for management.
  • Support workforce planning as the company expands its projects, branches or sales teams.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
  • Previous HR or people-operations experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of recruitment and employee administration.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good documentation and record-management skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • CIPM membership or certification is an advantage.

  Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a real estate, property development, construction or professional-services company.
  • Experience recruiting sales and business-development personnel.
  • Experience with performance management, employee policies and HR reporting.
