    Software Developer & Techology Officer

    The highly motivated and solutions-oriented Software Developer & Technology Officer will be responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company\'s technology infrastructure and digital products. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company\'s website, developing internal operational dashboards, building and enhancing logistics management tools, supporting technology-driven process improvements, and developing customer and rider-facing applications. The role requires a strong understanding of software development, systems integration, database management, automation, and business process optimization within a logistics environment.This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving real business problems through technology and wants to play a key role in scaling a fast-growing logistics company.

    Key Responsibilities

    Software Development

    • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web and mobile applications.
    • Build internal software tools that improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop rider applications for delivery management and route optimization
    • Develop customer-facing applications and portals for shipment tracking and service requests.
    • Build APIs and integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms.
    • Develop automation solutions to reduce manual processes.

    Dashboard & Business Intelligence Development

    • Design and maintain real-time operational dashboards.
    • Build reporting systems for logistics operations, fleet management, customer service, finance, and executive management
    • Create KPI monitoring dashboards for delivery performance, rider productivity, customer satisfaction, revenue tracking, and operational efficiency
    • Generate data insights that support management decision-making.

    Website Management

    • Manage and maintain the company\'s website.
    • Ensure website security, functionality, performance, and uptime
    • Update website content, features, and user experience.
    • Implement SEO best practices and performance optimization.
    • Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements.

    Logistics Technology Development

    • Support the development of dispatch and delivery management systems.
    • Develop shipment tracking solutions.
    • Improve route optimization and delivery visibility tools.
    • Enhance customer communication systems and notifications.
    • Build systems that support rider onboarding, attendance tracking, and performance monitoring.

    Systems Administration & Technology Support

    • Manage company databases and cloud infrastructure.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
    • Ensure data integrity, backup, recovery, and security protocols.
    • Provide technical support to internal teams.
    • Manage software licenses, technology vendors, and digital subscriptions.

    Process Automation & Innovation

    • Identify repetitive processes that can be automated.
    • Develop workflows and automation solutions using appropriate technologies.
    • Recommend technology solutions that improve productivity and scalability.
    • Lead technology improvement initiatives across the organization.

    Cybersecurity & Compliance

    • Implement and maintain security best practices.
    • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and threats
    • Ensure proper user access controls and permissions.
    • Maintain data privacy and confidentiality standards.

    Documentation

    • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
    • Document software architecture, processes, integrations, and system configurations.
    • Develop user guides and training materials for internal teams.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, HR, and Management teams.
    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
    • Participate in strategic discussions regarding technology and business growth.
    • Train employees on newly deployed systems and tools.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years\' proven experience in software development, including the design, development, and maintenance of web applications, internal business systems, dashboards, and data visualization solutions.
    • Experience working within the logistics, transportation, e-commerce, or other technology-driven industries is highly desirable, while experience with cloud infrastructure is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.
    • Strong backend development skills using Node.js, PHP, Python, Laravel, Django, or similar technologies.
    • Experience in mobile application development using Flutter, React Native, Android, or iOS.
    • Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
    • Hands-on experience with API development and third-party system integrations.
    • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Proficiency in Git/GitHub, Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio), and basic DevOps and application deployment practices.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
    • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills, with a high level of ownership, accountability, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
